Wishful thinking on Cuban democratization?

Rather than leading to democratization in Cuba, the re-establishment of diplomatic relations with the U.S. may just facilitate the development of a Castro Family-run kleptocracy by pumping more money onto the island. Yes, there will be more trade with the U.S., but as China, Russia, pre-World War I Germany and various other nati0ns have shown, diplomatic relations and more trade  between nice  nations and  dubious  ones don't necessarily lead to  peace and democracy.
