Hopeful architecture

Wilcox-Cutts House, in Orwell. Vt.  It was mostly built in 1843.

deep-based, tall-windowed, updrawn,"

towered, they rise like trees

from thin soil spruced into lawn

and shell-rimmed flowerbed,

toward a more specious air.'
